King James Bible

2011 marks the 400th anniversary of the publication of the King James Version (KJV) of the Bible and a year of celebration of the Bible in the English language. The translation of the Christian's special book into the everyday English of its generation was a milestone that opened up a whole new world of possibilities. To celebrate the 400 yr anniversary, Bible in Literacy text cards are now available showing the KJV - it's great fun to match the cards with the text from the Lion First Bible! Shirley Gowland is available to visit your church to give a seminar on how we can introduce the importance of the Bible in 'our own language' to our communities.
